Warmth enveloping from nose to toes,
Your love blankets me, holding close.
Hot water bottle like, finding bliss
Where I’d anticipated chilly tolerance;
No questions asked, no demands,
Yet freely answering, your hands
Are gentle, drawing me within your heart.
Molding together each splintered shard,
Your hearth fire encircles my loneliness,
Curling in, snuggling to peacefulness;
Your wholeness freely shared, completing
Me with tender touches comforting.
Your kiss anoints my forehead,
Tells me wordlessly: beloved,
I see you, know you, soul to soul.
Safely resting, hide and hold
And stay awhile; abide here in my arms.
Securely I will keep your heart.
