Or just ambitious?

Is not greater or lesser
And ‘that’ is not better or worse…er…
What if the two are not mutually exclusive
After all?

Perhaps the Sondheim route is possible:
Must it always be one?
“Is it always ‘or’?
Is it never ‘and’?”
Wouldn’t it be grand
If the choice on this hand
And the t’other
Could be either, both,
Together

Perhaps I dream
Idealistically
Of what cannot be
Perhaps a weighing of the options is required
At times

“And”
Is grand
Yet “Or’ –
(while sore)
Puts something in store

For one thing is sure:

If choosing must be done –
And I refuse
To choose
I will have
None.
