Usually my pen can’t keep up with my brain
(and occasionally the other way round)
Gotta catch that line
Get it down
Quick! Quick!
It felt so profound 
As it passed through my mind…
But sometimes
It doesn’t come out so fine
A bit rough and raw
Never quite sure
If it’s finished yet

But that’s ok

Because this is where the work is done
Behind the scenes
Off the screens
In what’s unseen
And there’s plenty still to do
There’s so much more to tell
Which is just as well…

Because I am so not ready
For a full stop yet
